1. Introduction

Welcome to Social Profile Studio ("we," "our," "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our web application (the "Service"). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the Service.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the Service depends on the content and materials you use, and includes:

  • Personal Data: While using our Service, primarily through TikTok OAuth, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"). This may include, but is not limited to, your TikTok username, profile picture, follower count, and email address (if provided by TikTok). If you choose to sign in or connect using your Google account, we will collect your name, email address, and profile picture as provided by Google.
  • TikTok Data: To provide our scheduling and analytics features, we access data from your connected TikTok account, including video metrics (likes, shares, comments, views), video content (for scheduling), and profile statistics. We only access data necessary to provide the Service features you use.
  • Google Drive Data: If you use our feature to upload videos, these videos will be uploaded to your personal Google Drive. We request permission to create a specific folder (e.g., "Social Profile Studio") in your Google Drive and to upload files into this folder on your behalf (using the `https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file` scope). We store the Google Drive file ID for each uploaded video and may store the ID of the app-specific folder within our database to facilitate this process. The video content itself resides in your Google Drive.
  • Usage Data: We may also collect information on how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g., IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.

3. How We Use Your Information

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the Service to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Facilitate the upload and storage of your video content to your Google Drive.
  • Provide the core functionality of the Service (scheduling, analytics).
  • Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience with the Service.
  • Notify you about updates to the Service.
  • Respond to your comments and questions and provide customer support.
  • Prevent fraudulent transactions, monitor against theft, and protect against criminal activity.

4. Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations:

  • By Law or to Protect Rights: If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies...
  • Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work. Examples include:
    • Google (for authentication and Google Drive integration for file storage). Your use of Google services is also governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
    • TikTok (for authentication and API integration).
  • With Your Consent: We may disclose your personal information for any other purpose with your consent.

5. Data Storage and Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information stored in our systems (such as your account details, scheduled post metadata, and Google Drive file/folder IDs).

Video content that you upload through our Service is stored directly in your personal Google Drive account. As such, the security and privacy of that video content are also subject to Google's security practices and your Google account settings. We do not store copies of your video files on our servers.

While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

6. Your Data Rights

You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time. If you terminate your account, your data stored in our systems will be deleted or anonymized according to our data retention policies. Content stored in your Google Drive will remain in your Google Drive under your control.
